Comments:Michael Bird died as a result of a tragic incident that could have happened to almost any of us. A one time quick draw horseplay on the flight line that forever altered the life of a real good man and ended the life of another. RIP!

HE USE TO GO OUT IN INDIAN COUNTRY WITH ANOTHER GUY FOR TWO WEEKS AT A TIME AND KILL THE BAD GUYES.HE SAW A LOT OF COMBAT. Comments:Been thinking a lot about you lately. Even though we never met I know you were a wonderful man. You have not been forgot and one of my sons will carry on your last name and papas. Your father loved you more than you will ever know. I thank you and all who served for doing all you did, I know you lost your life and I wish that could be changed but I want you to know you are part of the reason my children can live with freedom and feel safe. All gave some and some gave all so i salute you. You will always be remembered by me and my family even if others have abounded you and forgot about you i can promise my husband children my mom and me will never forget you or your father.

Comments:He was a lot of fun to get to know.
He was my gunner when he came from the 25th Inf.
Never had a problem with him he knew what was suppose to happen and was good at it.
A well liked individual, I was not flying that horrible day.

Comments:Mikey was one of the good guys. Good attitude always friendly and willing to work and help a friend. It was my bird that picked him up on the flight line so I got to say goodbye. I have thought of him often. Rest in piece my friend. ????
